We all know that Microsoft Widows don’t allow us to get two folders with the same name in the same place , and if you try this, you’ll get an error message telling you that that “A file with the name you specified already exists” like this one:
But here is the trick through which you can easily rename unlimited files with the same name
- Create two new folders in the same place, let’s say in the ‘Desktop’.
- Change the name of the first folder, “Openhow” for example.
- Make the second folder in the edit mode (click on the folder, and press F2).
- Right click on the name of the folder and choose “Insert Unicode control character”.
- You will see a secondary menu, choose any from the list, “RLM Right-to-Left mark” for example.
- Now you can change the name of this folder, and put the same name as the first folder and press “Enter”.
- Now you have two folders with the same name in the same area.
NB: You can have more than two folders with the same name in the same place , all you have to do is to choose an other character in step 5.
