Facebook Messenger Rooms, allows group video calls with up to 50 people
Since everyone is locked out, no one can get anywhere. All offices are empty because no one is allowed to leave the house. In these difficult times, everyone wants to stay in touch with their friends. So, right now, everyone has switched to group video calls to stay in touch.
Facebook has announced new features for Messenger, which will make it easier to connect with business contacts, as well as family and friends.
The new feature is Messenger Rooms, which is a platform for creating group video calls for up to 50 people. 50 people can join this room and can communicate with each other. This platform is open to all, and it doesn't need a Facebook account to join the call of Messenger Rooms.
Messenger Rooms Feature:
The Messenger Rooms feature was announced by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Users can select who is allowed to join their room, or make it accessible to everyone with a link only.
However, this new feature will work much like the Houseparty app. It will be displayed on a stream of unlocked users and those bringing the ability to be joined by the user.
Messenger Rooms by Facebook will directly target apps like Zoom, which has become so popular in recent months. However, messenger rooms may have some privacy issues.
From now, messenger rooms will be limited to Facebook, and in the future they will be integrated into Instagram Direct, Whatsapp and Portal.
